Gilbert Arenas Is Trolling The People Of Flint, Michigan About How They Have Dirty Water

The Source - For the second time in as many months, Arenas has made some ill-advised posts to his Instagram account, and these received such vicious backlash that the former Wizards and Magic star has deleted his entire Instagram account. The Flint Water crisis has become nationally concerning news over the last couple weeks, especially considering that city officials have continually tried to make the national government aware of their burgeoning issues since 2014 (and there’s evidence that supports that). Thankfully, several people, including Diddy, Big Sean, and Meek Mill, have made generous donations to help the city of Flint, and more are helping bring awareness to what’s a very dire situation in the small Michigan city.

Welp, I suppose I can see how people are offended by these Gilbert Arenas Instagram posts. But him saying that he’s blocking every girl from flint because he can’t fuck with no sour pus is hysterical. Like if a comedian said that on stage, I’d be slapping my knee laughing. It’s actually a shame Gil didn’t write these jokes down and do them on stage, that’s a pretty legit joke. Unfortunately he’s on the Internet where jokes, particularly if you’re a public figure like Gilbert, don’t ever, and will never, go over well. Especially when it’s about a situation like what’s happening in Flint.

Gilbert Clancy then proceeds to straight up mock the people who are mad at him about the above post.

So the above post wasn’t particularly funny. He got too high and mighty about it, was trying too hard to double down. Saying “keep that #sourpuss away from my DM” once again made me chuckle.

And that’s the last we saw of Gil’s Insta. Much like the Cauldron woman from yesterday, he deleted his account soon thereafter. Wouldn’t doubt if he made some sort of huge contribution to Flint today and apologized and said it was all jokes. And here’s the thing, it’s 1000% Gil joking. Sometimes jokes are only funny to you though. Especially on the Internet. Especially while something is happening. I don’t have a problem with his jokes, but millions of other people do.

I can’t believe I just had to defend him making jokes, but with all the shit we deal with, it’s hard to be like “too soon” or any of that. He’s allowed to make jokes, and people are allowed to get pissed off at him. That’s how it works. Such is life for a retired NBA player who made….wait…guess how much he made over the course of his career. Ready?
