Bitcoin is BACK Baby! Matt Barkley Wanted The Bengals And Niners To Pay His Salary In Bitcoin

BR - Buffalo Bills backup quarterback Matt Barkley has played for a number of NFL teams in his career, including short stints with the San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals. And apparently, he attempted to receive his paychecks in a unique fashion: bitcoin.

Remember a year or so ago when Bitcoin was all the rage? It was the hottest thing in the streets. It was the gold rush all over again. We were all dancing in the streets out of Barstool HQ, telling each other what we were going to name our boats, so glad we got in on Bitcoin before it went to $100,000/btc and above. We were living in amazing times. I put so much money into Bitcoin it’d make you shriek. I was prepared to retire.

And then, you know….

We were broke!

I would look at my bank account and imagine how much money I’d have if I never got into Bitcoin. Just sit there and stare and stare and stare, wondering why I ever listened to Bitcoin Marty and Lightswitch and all those nerds on Twitter who pumped it up as the next great thing.

And then…..

Bitcoin is back, baby!!!! We’re rich again! We’re buying diamonds! We’re sailing on yachts! Take off your pants and jacket, we’re all swimming in gold tonight! And Matt Barkley is leading the charge
