Padres Prospect Tries Breaking Into House Through Doggy Door, Gets Tased and Kicked In The Head Before Getting Pinched For Criminal Trespassing

A pitcher for the San Diego Padres was kicked and tased after a Peoria homeowner found him trespassing inside his home earlier this week.

Peoria police say they were called to a home near 91st Avenue and Beardsley Road around 3:30 a.m. Sunday for a reported trespasser.

The homeowner told police that a man, later identified as 23-year-old Jacob James Nix, entered his home through a doggie door.

The homeowner confronted Nix, kicking him one time in the face. Police say another man, 23-year-old Thomas Cosgrove, then reached through the doggie door to pull Nix out of the home.

As the two fled, the homeowner leaned out of the doggie door and deployed his Taser, striking Nix in the back, according to court records.

There should be some sort of rule…. no, a constitutional amendment where you get all charges thrown out because you were drunk when you commit crimes.  Now I’m not talking about crimes of aggression or drinking and driving or any of that – if you pull moves like that you’re a serious asshole. I’m talking about getting so hammered you accidentally break into someone’s house through their doggy door thinking it’s your own house.  Victimless crimes.

No blood, no foul.  Just an innocent fuckup, and we all have innocent fuckups.  Sometimes you forget your keys and try to break into the wrong house through a 1’x1′ hole in the door, other times you add the word “almost” to a blog and completely change the whole context of a sentence much to the dismay of the entire internet.  Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a text from Frankie to call into Barstool Radio to get railroaded by Dente this afternoon in front of a national audience.

Poor guy.  I really feel for him.  All he wanted to do was get into his house, fire up the oven, cook up a frozen pizza and pass the fuck out, but instead he basically got the 1-2 punch of Marv from Home Alone and Allen from the Hangover

That’s punishment enough IMO.

PS – Nix was actually some what of a big prospect at one point.  Has had some MLB tick too.  Was hurt all last year but was thought of as a 1st round talent back in 2014 by Keith Law and shit.  Isn’t just some bum so this might end up costing him some dinero if it pisses SD off enough
