Ever Thought How They Can Make The Selection Sunday Show Worse? Well You're In Luck!

I love Selection Sunday. The anticipation knowing we’re about to get a bracket and start the best gambling week of the year is the absolute best. It’s like Week 1 of the NFL season. Just pure unadulterated sports excitement. Then we get to the actual show and they drag the whole fucking process out for 45 minutes, making us wait to see who’s in and who’s out, making us wait to see what time our team plays (sidenote, there is nothing better than your team getting the Friday/Sunday draw, you get to go crazy Friday and if your team wins you get to watch them again hungover on Sunday to keep the Scaries away). The whole show fucking sucks and the year that the bracket got leaked early was so satisfying.

So what does CBS do? They make an already annoying process even worse. Breaking up when they reveal the field and when they reveal the bracket. I get they want everyone to watch but seriously what the fuck. I swear to God TV executives sit in a room and think, what will piss the most people off, then they do exactly that.  If they had one regular guy sitting in the production meeting they’d say hold on, you’re going to tell us who made it BEFORE the bracket? What the fuck? That makes no sense. Literally no one wants it this way. So thank you CBS, thank you for ruining something that already has had the fun sucked out of it. You’ve done it again, pat yourself on the back you idiots.
