DOUBLE RAMSEY BLOG: Jalen Says That Big Ben STINKS

Big Ben [Roethlisberger], I think he’s decent at best… It’s not Big Ben, it’s [Antonio Brown]. Big Ben slings the ball a lot of the time. He just slings it, and his receivers go get it. He has a strong arm, but he ain’t all that. I played him twice last year, and he really disappointed me. He’ll be in the Hall of Fame and all that.

God, man. What an interview. Perhaps I jumped the gun a little in my first blog. Maybe Jalen didnt unload on the Browns. He gave an honest assessment of where they are at. They are just trying to win a game so their fans can unlock a beer fridge.

This line about Big Ben though. It’s wonderful because it is so incredibly true, at least for how Big Ben played the Jaguars last year.

Big Ben threw 5 interceptions in the first matchup. Let’s have a little refresher because 5 picks sure does seem like a lot.

The first game was domination. The Jaguars whooped the shit out of the Steelers. The 2nd game was in the playoffs. The Jaguars defense was in control much of the game and that’s where Ramsey’s comments come in to play.

Big Ben had 5 touchdowns in that game. 5. Pretty great game, right?

Look at these plays again.

Antonio Brown and Le’veon Bell made insane catch after insane catch. You have to give Big Ben some credit. He threw to spots on the field. Boundaries. Pylons. It was Brown and Bell who made unbelievably difficult catches in the face of AJ Bouye and Telvin Smith, two all-pro quality defensive players. It’s clear that Ramsey thought it was the skill players and not the QB who make that offense tick.

“He’ll be in the Hall of Fame and all that.”

Love it. LOVE IT
