Protester Who Twerked While Her City Burns is The Hero We Need
Source – A model has filmed herself twerking on a burning Barcelona street as a ‘form of expressing [her] protest’ during the Catalan independence riots.
Sandra Kisterna, who boasts a 12.2k Instagram following and shows ‘Twerk Classes’ on her social media, has gone viral with 370k views of her routine.

Kisterna captioned the clip: ‘I do not want to offend people who are out to fight for their rights. This is my form of expressing my protest!
‘I am aware that not everyone will take it well, but I have freedom of expression like everybody!
‘There are people who are taking to the streets to participate in violence and I want no part of it. What I saw last night in Barcelona was terrible, my city was ruined, there was chaos all around.’
Let me start with a disclaimer so that I don’t get criticized by Lebron James: I don’t have all the facts about the issues in Barcelona that has people taking to the streets. I don’t want anyone to think I’m taking sides and maybe cost Barstool the millions we can make selling t-shirts in the Spain market.

I just know that Sandra Kisterna is a hero. Whether you agree with her cause or not, you have to respect her particular brand of non-violent, passive resistance protest. It’s people like her who prove the power of the individual to make effective change and make the world a better place.
When she got out in the middle of that chaos and shook her money maker, she shook it for all of us. Hers is a message of peace, clapped out in Morse Code with her butt cheeks. In that moment, she was the lone demonstrator standing before the line of tanks in Tiananmen Square, crying out, “Stop.” She was Rosa Parks on the bus saying “No.” She was Martin Luther, nailing his 95 Theses to the door of the church in Wittenberg, proclaiming “This will not stand.” Not in words, but with the moral authority of her amazing ass.
She’s Jesus, Gandhi and MLK in booty shorts. One woman come in the name of love, one woman come and go. One woman come, she to justify. One woman to overthrow. Let her be a shining example to all protesters world wide. Particularly in our troubled nation. If you want to affect true change in this world, stop the violence, end the destruction and learn to speak with the universal power of the Twerk, which crosses all cultural and language boundaries. In the name of love, what more in the name of love.
