Now this is what I’m talking about! Give me less stories about potential fake trade offers and more free agent recruiting conspiracies. In today’s episode we have Josh Hart and Paul George attending an E3 Fortnite event together yesterday. That sound you hear is ever Lakers fan on the planet trying to keep down their erection. Some may say this is just an example of two buddies who share a common interest, but only a fool with be so naive. In today’s NBA it’s all about in person recruiting, and given the Lakers have already paid a pretty penny in terms of tampering charges, I sneaky like the move from Magic.  Nobody is going to be suspicious of Josh Hart because I’m not sure a lot of people even know who he is, so he’s the perfect guy to carry out this mission.

This is the beauty of the internet. Gone are the days where we are all waiting for a Woj or Shams bomb. Now all you have to do is be on the lookout on Twitter and you’ll see everything in real time. This is why we as NBA Twitter should be on high alert from now until the first week of July. Sometimes things are right in front of our faces the whole time. You see how George responded to that interview question? Does that sound like a guy that isn’t seriously entertaining the thought about returning home and joining the Lakers?

So while I hate the Lakers with a passion, I can respect a solid offseason recruiting tactic. Sure things like the roster and cap space and system all matter for big time players like George, but having a guy you can kill time on the road with playing video games is probably like 3rd of 4th on the list of priorities. I’m not saying I’m ready to commit to Paul George being a Laker, but he’s 1000% going to be a Laker. The next question is who are they going to send to hang out with Lebron?
