I Cannot Stop Watching How Bad The Celtics Are At Golf

What you thought the Celts would be a little down after losing a close one to the Sixers? No chance. You may not know this, but the young guys on this team absolutely love Top Golf. Remember when Jaylen threw that event during the Las Vegas Summer League for all the rookies not old enough to party? He admitted to not being the best golfer in the NBA, but honestly his swing didn’t look bad, he just struggled making contact. Who among us hasn’t swung and missed on a drive and immediately declared it was a practice swing?

But after taking a look at Terry and Timelord’s performance he’s suddenly looking PGA Tour caliber. As someone who is a casual golfer at best and gets semi erect anytime I’m not in triple digits I’m not going to act like some golf hardo and kill these dudes for being absolutely terrible. Instead I find myself mesmerized by it, I’ve watched these two videos no less than a thousand times and can’t stop laughing with each one. We’ll start with Terry. Just like with his jump shot I wasn’t surprised to see him pump fake a billion times, and you’re lying to yourself if you don’t also have a somewhat similar approach to your drive. It’s all about calming yourself down and catching your breath before unleashing hell. The grip was a little concerning but not the worst I’ve ever seen, but the execution was well, Charles Barkley like only without the hitch

Timelord’s attempt, well this was much more of a disaster. The grip was all sorts of messed up and backwards, and I’m not sure he’s ever seen someone swing a golf club before. That’s a little shocking because you would think in order to prepare for this outing he would travel back in time to watch some vintage Tiger or something, but that clear wasn’t the case here. I know we don’t have a ton of evidence showing how everyone else looked, but I think it’s safe to say Timelord might be the worst golfer on the team.

Also, Yabu’s laugh is the greatest gift of all time. That’s a man who just lives life in a permanent state of happiness and it’s probably why Ainge picked up his option. Everyone needs a Yabu in their life I think we can agree with that.

Honestly given the collapse we saw the other night, this is the type of #content my brain needed. If you happen to come across any other guy from this outing please send it my way because it’ll help drown out all the unacceptable and embarrassing stuff we’ve seen from them on the court lately.
