KentuckyA female high school teacher from Kentucky has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male student at her school.

Kendall Burk, 23, a biology teacher at Grant County High School, was arrested on Wednesday, and charged with four counts of sodomy and four counts of rape.

Under Kentucky law, sodomy is defined, in part, as deviate sexual intercourse with another person, which covers ‘any act of sexual gratification involving the sex organs of one person and the mouth of [sic] anus of another.’

According to the county sheriff’s office, Burk had multiple sexual encounters with the teenage victim over the summer break off campus.

AndShe allegedly had sex four times with the boy during the course of the summer at off-campus locations. Cops say two of the incidents occurred at her home while the other happened in her car.

Burk was busted when another student reported her to school administrators.

The teacher graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2018 and the biology gig was her first job. …

One parent thought the situation was bizarre.

“I couldn’t imagine what would make a girl who just graduated from college, why would she risk everything and throw it away for a relationship, or whatever you want to call it, with a 15-year-old boy,” Michelle Heath told the TV station.

Congratulations, Michelle Heath. You’ve put your finger directly on the pulse of the entire Sex Scandal Teacher culture. Why indeed would Kendall Burk put herself through the University of Kentucky, spend all of her parents’ tuition earning her Education Degree, land a good job with quality pay and great benefits with a fat pension waiting at the end only to “throw it away for a relationship, or whatever you want to call it, with a 15-year-old boy”? That is the question that has inspired the psychologists, the philosophers and the mystics of our age.

Maybe she’s just more dedicated than most. Perhaps she just takes her calling of teaching Biology more seriously than others. And believes you can’t properly make a high schooler fully appreciate the miracle of the human body without demonstrating “deviant sexual intercourse.” It’s possible she wants to fully prepare her male students for careers in the field of biology, and that includes “any act of sexual gratification involving the sex organs of one person and the mouth of [sic] anus of another.” Or maybe she just wants off campus sex with a teenager more than she wants a career. Personally, my money is on the fact she wanted to be considered for the 2019 Sex Scandal Teacher Starting Lineup ROTY. And on that count, she succeeded.

The Grades:
Looks: Kendall reminds me of a young, “Blue Velvet”-era Laura Dern. Like she’s never been the most attractive in her group, but she’s always been one of the above average ones. Whether that was group prom photos, the Girls Lacrosse team or wedding parties, she’d always be the one you absolutely would, but there’d be 2-3 in the group prettier than her but the majority would be less attractive. The key point though, is that you definitely would.
Grade: B

Moral Compass/Bad Judgment: If we’re going to be perfectly honest with each other, all sodomy charges are not created equal. There is a huge, wide, vast gulf between oral and anal, and it’s time the legal codes catch up to that fact. Nevertheless, we’ve got multiple times over the course of the summer. Some how involving the ominous-sounding “deviant sexual intercourse.” All coming from a Biology teacher, so we can presume she knows her way around the human anatomy. It’s just a shame all that bio-science didn’t show her how to not get caught. And now her once promising SST career fizzled out faster than Andrew Luck’s.
Grade: A

Intangibles: Putting the “wild” in Wildcats.
Grade: A

Overall: A-. See you in December, Kendall.
