End Your Workday With Some Wilt Chamberlain Goodness

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics

You made it! You’ve arrived at the part of the day where basically the week is over. You’re not doing shit on Friday so don’t even lie to yourself, just push that shit to Monday and have an easy day tomorrow. Hopefully today wasn’t too bad for you, and with some great NBA matchups and a quality TNF matchup tonight I imagine you’re itching to get the hell out of your office and enjoy your freedom. That’s why today I want to help you get there by taking a moment and going back in time. With all this talk about Wilt Chamberlain given Lebron last night, I realized there are probably some stoolies out there who know the name but never really saw any clips of this guy’s dominance. You know all about the scoring, how he averaged 50 a game and has one of the more outrageous Basketball Reference pages in history

I don’t care about the era in which he played, those numbers are stupid. For today’s time waster, I wanted to focus on what is in my opinion the most impressive part of Wilt’s dominance, and that’s his passing. You know how today everyone cums themselves over the passing ability of today’s bigs like Jokic, Horford, Draymond etc? They don’t hold a candle to what Wilt was able to do. Leading the NBA in assists as a center makes my brain hurt, and without a doubt he is one of the most prolific passing big men in NBA history. That run from 1966-68 was unlike anything we’ll ever see. Draymond is close as a small ball PF with around 7.4 assists a night, but if you were to look a centers, Jokic has never averaged more than 6.9 and Horford never more than 5.0. You just don’t see that type of skill from that position anymore, and it’s why Wilt is such a unicorn.

So thanks to the internet, we have digitally restored highlights of Wilt’s passing, and that’s what I’m sharing with you today. It’s a nice little 10 minutes that should do the trick and get you to the finish line, so click play, sit back, and get lost in some quality 1960s highlights

Good job plowing through the bullshit today everyone. The weekend is almost here, just one more to go.
