I Lost 4 Pounds In April And Have Lost A Total Of 46 Pounds Since The Beginning Of 2018

Hey there! We’re back! A month later and it’s another edition of Trent Being Sick Of Looking Like The Pillsbury Doughboy In The Mirror!

For any newcomers, I started the year at 263 pounds. I lost 21 pounds in January. I lost 13 pounds in February. I lost 8 pounds in March. And now I lost 4 more pounds in April. Bringing the grand total to 46 pounds lost. 217 is crazy low for me. Like I’ve said before, I weighted around 220-225 in high school. I haven’t seen a number like 217 in a solid 13 years. I feel awesome.

Anyway. April was a month of maintaining. My diet hasn’t really changed. Still trying to not eat carbs. Still eating lots of chicken and fish for lunch. I’ve been working in more omelettes in the morning. One cheat day a week. The one thing that has changed is, I’m turning into a full fitness douche bag, and drinking green juices now. Me and my good pal Coley drink one green juice a day. It’s got kale, spinach, celery, cucumber ginger, a green apple and lime. I could sit here and play it cool and say they’re gross but they’re FANTASTIC.

I’m still on my #EllipticalGangGangGang shit 4-5 times a week. Last month I started doing intervals on the elliptical for 45 minutes. I’ve bumped that up to an hour of intervals. It kicks my ass. Kicks. My. Ass. It’s great. Under the direction of a plan put together by Jared Carrabis, I’ve been lifting a little. I’m slowly wading into those waters.

I’m still not boozing. I haven’t drank in a couple months now. It’s probably the #1 thing that has kept me on track. Drinking leads to hangovers and hangovers lead me to not giving a fuck about anything in relation to what I eat or drink for days. When I’m hungover I CRUSH Chinese food and pop and lots of it. Cutting that out has helped a lot. I will say, not drinking during the colder months was pretty easy. My life was super boring but I’d just go home and watch Netflix. Nobody was really doing anything anyway. That’s gonna be a little harder with the weather getting nicer. We’ll see what happens.

Looking back at this blog now, I’ve changed every part of my life. At the beginning of the year I told myself I just needed to change one or two things and it would make a big difference. And it did. That’s how I lost 34 pounds the first two months. I kept things super simple and it worked. I’ve made things more complicated now cause I’m 4 months in. What I’m trying to say (and not saying it very well) is that you don’t have to do it all at once. It’s a process. Start small. Start eating a little better or working out a couple times a week. That’s all it takes. Just start. Then add things as you go along. The results you see will be the momentum that keeps you going.

I simply need to move my body around more so I don’t pack as much weight on my body. That’s it. Maybe eat a little better, too. I was doing nothing before. Now I’m doing a little more than nothing and that’s perfect.

That’s still the goal. We’re gonna keep working. See you in a month.
