Reveille: BigBang’s G-Dragon, Thank You For Your Service
This blog is by Captain Cons. He’s a huge K-Pop guy and has been asking about writing this for weeks. I had no idea that he was so passionate about K-Pop. Incredible. The only thing is that he tries to hide it. He did it in the blog below. Classic Cons.
BigBang’s G-Dragon seen enlisting in army as fans show up to say goodbye
G-Dragon’s fans showed up to wave him off as he entered into military service. The BigBang star has enlisted as part of his mandatory military service, and although he didn’t hold an official farewell event, fans turned up to watch him enter the military facility.
I’ll just come out and say it – Big Bang is the worst show on television right now. Maybe ever. It really does stink out loud. Listen, I took physics once upon a time and there wasn’t anything comical about the subject. Sheldon is nasally and boring. Blossom and Galecki flamed out in the 90s. Simply put, there are no redeeming qualities about this show. If you’re more of a visual learner, study this Venn diagram supplied by Producer Bren.
That said, I applaud G-Dragon for fulfilling his mandatory service, especially when he could likely get an exemption due to his celebrity.
Chaps Note: Handsome!
Quite a few countries across the globe mandate military service like our guest on ZBT a few weeks ago who served with the Israel Defense Forces. As he told us and as I would agree, serving in the military has a ton of upside. Yes, I’m well aware of the dangers present when you serve in the military but I think the positives are worth mentioning. I think a vast majority of the population in this country would benefit from the discipline and perspective that comes with standing a post and defending one’s country. At 18 when one thinks they know everything about the world, one could probably use a hard-nosed drill sergeant chewing their face off about why it is NOT okay to use pockets as a place to rest one’s hands. Loyalties, work ethic, staying calm in stressful situations are some of the other positives that come to mind. Maybe if everyone served in the military we would have more people like EIC Kmarko who responded in an urgent scenario by saving a life in a bar as opposed to those jamokes KFC and Feits who sat on their hands doing nothing. I’m biased but I need more folks to know what it is to sleep in the mud and ask permission to use the latrine. Builds character.
P.S. Wait. You’re telling me G-Dragon is a Korean pop sensation? Not on that crap TV show? Egg on my face.
P. P.S. G-Dragon feels like a nickname he gave himself. Against the rules
