Bill Belichick Denies Every Major Point of the ESPN Hit Piece
Typical Belichick. Never gives you a straight answer. pic.twitter.com/wA5KDWVHno

.@DaleEArnold: “How would you describe your relationship with Robert Kraft and Tom Brady?” Bill Belichick: “Great. … Great relationship with Robert and Tom.” — WEEI (@WEEI) January 8, 2018
Belichick on @DaleHolleyWEEI also adds – “because it was part of the article” – that he has a good relationship with Alex Guerrero.

Belichick on @DaleHolleyWEEI on the report that he met with Roger Goodell last week: “That’s absolutely not true.” Says the last time he saw Goodell was the Mexico City game vs. Oakland. — WEEI (@WEEI) January 8, 2018

After several posts about the Seth Wickersham hatchet job, an hour on Barstool Radio talking to Dave and Big Cat, a half dozen or so radio hits, some bar room conversations, a few mentions on this week’s Laces Out podcast with McAfee and Hawk, and listening to the misinformed dopes at the gym flapping their gums about it, even I’m getting a little Wickershammed out by this point. But when Bill Belichick – who actually couldn’t have come out sounding any better in the piece if it was co-authored by Linda Holliday and the guy from Nantucket magazine – refutes every key claim made it in? Well then what choice do I have but to flush this latest ESPN piece of shit once and for all?
Is Belichick coaching the Patriots next season? “Absolutely.” How’s his relationship with Brady and Mr. Kraft? “Great.” And with Alex Guerrero? “Good.” Did he meet with Roger Goodell last week? “Absolutely not true” and he hasn’t even set eyes on the Spawn of Satan since Mexico City months ago. That is not just refuting the article, that burning it, burying the ashes and then pissing on the grave.
What makes this all the funnier is that the latest spin coming out of Felger and Mazz today was that the report’s sources were all members of Belichick’s camp, trying to take blame away from him if the Jimmy Garoppolo trade turns out bad and to motivate Brady. I mean, 90 percent of the Boston media are taking the article as gospel truth as it is. And if you so much as question any part of it, point out the nonsense in there (Brady yelled at Josh McDaniels with Mr. McDaniels sitting in the stands!!!) or mention the contradictions (“Belichick being Belichick, those around him know nothing of his plans” followed by “But Belichick also has taken a longer view, as though he sees pieces of his impact leaguewide”), you’re a fanboy who can’t face the reality that the Dynasty has maybe three more games before it implodes before your eyes. And yet here we have the third of the only three people anyone in the report gives a damn about saying what the other two said: It’s a nothing burger.

So hopefully Belichick’s denial – to go along with his quarterback’s and his owner’s – finally snuffs the life out of this this abomination. If not, if we have to listen to more of this all the way through the postseason and beyond, well then just promise me next July when Belichick, Brady and Mr. Kraft are all walking the practice field at Gillette, you’ll remember who was telling you the truth and who was selling you a pack of lies just for the clickbait. And in advance let me just say “You’re welcome.”
We’re onto the Titans.
