Look at LaVar Ball strolling into your Playstation or Xbox as well as the hearts of millions of gamers around the globe!

While NBA Live was wedging in ESPN’s resident troll Stephen A. Smith into their career mode, 2K was locking down the most electrifying man in sports entertainment for their career mode. Point, 2K. And while Phil Knight, Kevin Plank, and whoever runs Adidas were out slinging their little sneakers, the CEO of BBB was becoming a part of the most popular basketball game on the planet. Point, LaVar Ball. Not sure how many more games of chess LaVar has to win before everyone stops yelling about him from their checkerboards.

While I hate to admit it, having the biggest Baller in 2K is going to change everything I do in the career mode. I want LaVar’s approval. Need it. Usually my career characters are as team-first and boring as it gets. Cliche as fuck. Keep the distractions out of the locker room and your quotes off of the opposition’s bulletin boards. But I will throw all of my slow white teammates under the bus if it means LaVar may sign me as the first non-Ball family member to Big Baller Brand. Yeah my coach may have strong words for me. But he won’t be decked out in triple B’s from head to toe while also making a cameo on Ball In The Family. I thought Madden was going to take up all of my precious video game time during the fall. But now I have to carve out a few hours per week to trying to make Virtual LaVar like me (by the way bravo to whoever came up with that LaVar dialogue. It was like the Big Baller was talking directly to me with the swagger of a peacock and absolutely positively ridiculous LaVar sayings).

And just in case anyone from 2K is reading this blog, please put LaVar Ball into the game as an actual player so I can break the ankles of countless teenagers online with this monster of a man.

Speaking of video games, our office Madden league starts today. Teams are picked at random, which will be broadcast on Barstool’s Twitch channel at 3 pm. So make sure to subscribe to us on Twitch, follow @StoolGametime on Twitter, and BarstoolGametime on Instagram. I really need to redeem myself after Justin Tuck beat me yesterday. The easiest way to do that? Pull moves like this on my coworkers in our league.
