Angel Reese Fans Are PISSED She Got Taunted With Baby Pacifiers & "Too Small" Signs At The Golden State Valkyries Championship Parade, So Let's Review Her Track Record Of Sportswomenship
It's been a pretty tough week for fans of Angel "The Bayou Barbie" Reese. Not only watching her choke away a WNBA title in Games 7 (only scoring 8 points) but she also just announced a self imposed 6 month sabbatical from all the attention too. Savvy timing to do it immediately after that crushing loss, nothing but respect for the hustle there. Moving on from all responsibility and further questioning within 24 hours is truly impressive stuff. Talk that talk!

"Year 3.
24 hours later, the first picture STILL describes this year in 1,000 words.
I’m so grateful & blessed. God, THANK YOU for allowing me to play another season full of health, love, passion, joy, community, and so much more. When I pray before every game, I thank God for ALL the highs & lows because I truly mean it.
I’m still numb from how it ended, but I realize not many get to experience this in just their 3rd year in the league. I’m BEYOND PROUD & have absolutely NOTHING to hang my head about. Every loss is a lesson & sometimes it’s not NO, just NOT YET. Delayed, not denied. Trust me, I’m HUNGRY for more.
Having a historic career year was special, but being surrounded by people who genuinely love & care about me meant even more.
To my team, I LOVE YOU.
To the fans, THANK YOU!
To my REAL friends & family, you’ve been my rock my entire life. We win together & we lose together. WE WILL BE BACK.
Atlanta, you’ve meant the world to me in just 7 months. I pray I get to experience this kind of joy forever. ♥️
Back to work! See y’all in 6 months. ⏰
Mom, I’m so grateful I got to experience this moment with you. Every high, every low, every emotion, you’ve been right here. I love you more than words could ever explain. 🖤"
But while Angel wept & wove her social media excuses online, the actual champions of The W were celebrating in the streets of San Francisco. Reportedly had 400,000 fans showing up out there too! Pretty wild to see that amount of pure support for an expansion team that's only existed for 2 seasons. That's just how they roll in The Bay I guess. Happy for head coach Natalie Nakase who seems an absolute psycho dog in the trenches and the WNBA version of Joe Mazzulla. Beautiful insane basketball minds. Congrats to her & those gritty gals!

Quick sidetone, after her A+ performance today Kaitlyn Chen is now my favorite player to root for. DAWG.

Also shout out to Kiah Stokes for putting ESPN in a bodybag on multiple occasions.

But most hilariously, as is TRADITION with #SPORTS, the Golden State victors & their many fans had a little fun at the expense of the dead. And boy oh boy did Angel Reese fans not like that. Not. One. BIT. You see, according to them she's not a narcissistic monster. She didn't bring ANY of this vitriol upon herself! She didn't taunt her opponents repeatedly. She didn't gloat after going up (2-1). She is INNOCENT. Right? RIGHT?

But seemed like some pretty harmless (and well deserved) trolling to me. Certainly not even close to the worst title parade taunting I've seen in the past 6 months.
And yet Angel fans all over the globe simply couldn't take it. It's quite a phenomenon seeing her army of trolls dedicate themselves to never acknowledging reality whatsoever. Hope they learn it's okay to admit the truth sometimes. Also don't think you need to be a hater to admit Angel isn't exactly the best role model for winning in a gracious way. The Internet NEVER forgets. Especially with a track record like hers.

Jealously IS a stinky perfume. But hey, that's just another day in the life of The Bayou Barbie. Best of luck to her taking it easy the next 6 months and staying off the radar. But if she's so inclined, I highly recommend typing in "Mikan Drill" on YouTube and giving that a good ol' college try. If we're gonna have to keep watching women's basketball because of her for the next 20 years, a few more converted layups here & there would be nice. No offense.
