This Chaotic Disaster Of An Eagles Season Has Now Reached The Point Where Former Players Are At War With The Current Coaching Staff
It seems like the entire Eagles universe is at odds with each other right now. The coaches are at war against keeping their jobs. Jalen Hurts is at war against the medical staff. The media is at war against the fans. The players are at war against winning football games. And now the latest battle breaking out seems to be between former players and the current coaching staff. Or at the very least, former players and certain people inside the Eagles' building.
It's not explicitly stated just who these former players are upset with the most, but it seems like they feel there is a serious lack of leadership in that locker room. A lack of leadership when it comes to blocking outside noise from coming in that locker room, and a lack of leadership when it comes to keeping leaks from getting out of the locker room.
It seems pretty clear to me that both Foles and Kelce are directing their frustration towards Nick Sirianni, but maybe that's just me projecting.
But regardless of exactly who this frustration is geared towards, the fact is that it's just something new with the Eagles every day at this point. It's the first time the Eagles have faced some serious adversity in years. They've had collapses before like in 2023. They've had disappointing seasons like 2025. But this year is something unlike anything the Eagles have faced in a long ass time. And it's pretty obvious that this organization has forgotten how to battle through adversity. They haven't been tested like this, and the whole thing is crumbling down. So maybe it's a good thing this season has been such a shit show. Maybe it's not the worst thing in the world for the Eagles to get a reality check, and learn how to work through these stretches again. At the very least, they are learning how to not deal with adversity.
And maybe they are also learning that hiring Sean Mannion was a colossal mistake, and that maybe it's not a good sign when the only guy willing to take the OC job in Philly is the most under-qualified candidate.
