Brewers Parade Update: Daniel Vogelbach Started To Tear Up While Giving A Speech Then Seamlessly Cracked Open A Beer And Broke Into A Karaoke Of "Stacy's Mom"

As a Mets fan, I have millions of reasons to despise the Baseball Gods with every fiber of my being, which is obviously a whollllle lotta fibers. But seeing this video made me hate them even more. Not because I dislike Daniel Vogelbach. Far from it. I hate the Baseball Gods because I wish this moment could've happened in 2022 at City Hall after the Mets won the World Series. Instead, the Mets starting pitching bottomed out at the end of the season just as the Braves finished their massive comeback to win the NL East and one of the most fun baseball seasons of my lifetime ended like a hungover fart in three games to the San Diego Padres.

I know Vogelbach straight up refusing to swing at strike 3 for pretty much the entire 2023 season is what everyone remembers of his Mets tenure now. But after the Mets got him before the 2022 trade deadline his great eye, occasional pop, and flawless vibes were seen as what could be the missing piece to bring the Mets their first title since the 86 Mets were fucking up Major League Baseball along with whoever else they ran into along the way. We had Vogie in the Barstool office after he was traded and he was honestly the coolest person I think I've ever interviewed here.

If you could dream up the kind of player that Mets fans would fall in love with, this is the exactly what he would look like, do, and say:

Instead, the Mets went to shit to end 2022 and Vogie's playing career went to shit not too much later.

All that being said, I am truly incredibly happy how well this all played out for Vogelbach. Because while I would've loved him becoming a bigger than life legend for millions of us Mets fans in the big city, I feel like he is exactly where he is supposed to be. Drinking beers on a stage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and acting like a real life version of Chris Farley in Tommy Boy with a fanbase full of boozers that will adore him forever after helping deliver their first World Series. I would say it's fucked up they didn't let Vogie hit the chorus since it is so easy and fun to sing. But I honestly think all of Milwaukee may have been reduced to rubble once the big man and a crowd full of blacked out Brewers fans truly got going.

So soak it all in Vogie and Brewers fans. God knows you guys deserve it.
