Coach Of The People: Arizona's Brent Brennan Showed Up At A Bar To Drop $2,000 On Tequila Shots For Fans Who Watched Them Beat Iowa State

This is one of the long-running traditions in college sports lately. A coach wins a big game or a homecoming game, something along those lines, you go to one of the campus bars and buy a round. In this case, Brent Brennan decided to make it easy and just go all tequila shots. Aggressive, but hey, like he said it was a fun 5 minutes. You gotta make it count. I love it. This is what college sports is supposed to be. It's what always felt different about college sports to pros is you see the guys in class and around campus. You're in the mix with it all vs showing up on a Sunday afternoon and sitting there.

I know Rico won't ever come with me, but I've heard nothing but awesome things about Dirtbags. One of those campus bars I just gotta get to, plus sneaky wanna go see an Arizona basketball game out there. I promise not to wear the short shorts, Rico. Anyways, this is the move coaches should make. It's an easy way to win over your fans and I love his reasoning. They show up for us, we show up for them. It's a nice little payback for people out there celebrating.

Not to mention, Arizona is good. They are in the mix to win the Big 12. They have the loss to BYU but the schedule down the stretch is pretty favorable. They get Utah in Tuscon. Then they also have TCU, Kansas State and Arizona State. The only road game is Kansas State. Arizona can win this conference.

Smart to get out of there after 5 minutes. You buy the round, maybe take a shot with the people and then get the hell out of there. Vet move there by Brent Brennan. Even more of a vet move to go on the Brandon Walker show after too

Coach of the people indeed.
