Losing To South Carolina Is So Bad This Year That Jon Sumrall's Son Reportedly Left The Game Early And Texted Him He 'Didn't Know If This Is Forgivable'

I can't relate what it's like losing to South Carolina. I simply don't know that feeling in football this year. That's because I have Will Stein and Kenny Minchey. But this is about a different Kentucky grad, Jon Sumrall. They lost to South Carolina over the weekend, fairly embarrassing.

Wasn't just a loss. It was an ass kicking. It was people saying Florida is awesome this year, even compared to 2019 LSU! That was pretty dumb. You get a bad South Carolina team coming to The Swamp and this is what you do? I don't blame Jon Sumrall's son for leaving early and saying it's unforgivable to lose to South Carolina. Also, don't know if it's just me being old but all I think about when I see unforgivable is the old school Internet 1.0 video.

I'm torn on the son's reaction here. You don't leave a game early, that's just my rule. You sit there and you watch until there are zeroes on the clock. But holding your dad accountable is an A+ move. He understands what's at stake each week in college football, even with the expanded playoff. You don't lose at home in the SEC. You gotta tell your dad it's unforgivable to lose to Shane Beamer when the wheels are ready to fall off. He should be texting his dad game thoughts weekly. That's how you keep someone honest. You let a teenager fire off takes and tell you it's a good win or a bad loss. Then you can address the team and rip into them for losing.

Then again this could just be Jon Sumrall lying to get a good story out there, but a Kentucky man never lies. I don't care if he's wearing Florida gear, he's a Kentucky man at heart.
