The Last Dance: Ronaldo Announced He's 'Probably' Going To Retire After This Season, Wants To Leave A Legacy And 'Have More Fun'

I'm skeptical here. First off, no one cares about what Ronaldo is doing in Saudi Arabia. No one is watching those games. But the fact that Portugal is hosting part of the 2030 World Cup? You're telling me Ronaldo doesn't want to play one game in the World Cup in his home country? Come on. You know that's something he wants to.

Also why he says probably going to retire. He's leaving it open so he can make the return for something like that. He wants to get 1,000 goals, have everyone talk about how good he is and get reminded that he's not better than Messi. I'm clearly not a Ronaldo guy, think he's one of the more annoying athletes in the world. But it is weird to start seeing these guys that were staples in the sport retire. I get it comes with age and father time comes for everyone, but I still don't care for it. There are only a handful of athletes older than me out there, not ready for the point of watching any and every sport where guys are all younger than me.

That said, his plans are fucking hilarious. Wants to have more fun and play padel? Yeah, okay. You just want to hang out with your smoke wife even more

I'm also convinced soccer players never retire. So many guys have retired from international play and then play for another 10 years. So we'll see you in 2030, Ronaldo. I refuse to believe you won't be playing in Portugal. Enjoy the retirement tour only to come back out of retirement at some point. That's the legacy.
