Joe Fulks of the Philadelphia Warriors became the first player to score 50 points in a single game in the Basketball Association of America and a forerunner of the NBA. Fulks scores 63, breaking his single-game record of 47 set two months earlier, as the Warriors defeat the Indianapolis Jets 108-87
