Elon Musk Announces Neuralink Has Successfully Implanted First Ever "Brain Chip" In Human Being

Source - History for Elon Musk and Neuralink ... the billionaire says there's now a human being fitted with the neurotech startup's brain chip for the first time.

Elon made the big announcement Monday on his social media platform X, formerly Twitter, claiming the early results are looking good.

Musk says the patient, part of Neuralink's first human test group, received the implant Sunday and is recovering well.

Neuralink's first human trial involves people who have lost the use of their limbs. Elon's company is testing the safety of the implant and the surgical robot that inserts the chip in the brain. Neuralink says it also wants to see how the futuristic tech works in the real world.

You know what? I don't care. People are going to come out of the woodwork saying how scary this is and how much of a slippery slope we're on and blah blah blah..but not me. Couldn't care less. If Elon wants to stick computer chips in people's brains then more power to him. No skin off my back. With any luck the chips will be strong enough to actually do what he says they're going to be able to do. Imagine that? If you could control a computers simply by thinking….

The entire thing is absolutely insane. So yeah, it's kind of scary that one of the world's richest men is putting chips in people's brains, but do we really care? Even if things go awry it seems like the good far out weighs the potential bad. Then again, maybe not. Time will tell.  I don't know. Just thinking out loud here. Have a lovely night!
