Ohio State Announcing That They're Having Open Tryouts 12 Hours After Michigan Won The National Championship Is So Embarrassing
What the fuck are we doing.....? Our football coach and team have embarrassed us enough over the last 3 years in Ann Arbor, in Columbus, and then in Ann Arbor again.....all while being on National Television each time. So does our social media team really need to lob one up to the rest of the internet this morning, too?
Listen, I get that they probably make this post every single year, just like every other collegiate football team in America looking for walk-ons, but the timing of this tweet could not be more embarrassing. Our arch rival, who has essentially killed and buried the once great program we all knew and loved, won the National Championship by three touchdowns last night. The entire world is currently laughing at Ryan Day and Ohio State, and instead of staying out of the limelight, we take our 706,000 follower team Twitter account and post that we're hosting OPEN TRYOUTS. It just begs people to point out how far Ohio State has fallen. How our coach, who was born on 3rd base and got picked off, needs new players. How we'll take anyone we can get. And it sets us up for very fair cheap shots like this:

God damnit, I hate how spot on that is. Urban Meyer's open tryouts would be to play tug-of-war with a rope until you drag the other person to the Michigan state border and leave that loser there. Ryan Day probably wants them to jump up and down and "get hyped".
