Everything You Could Ever Need To Know About Gypsy Rose Blanchard

The long and short of it is that Gypsy Rose plotted (along with her then boyfriend) to murder her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. The boyfriend is currently serving a life sentence for the murder whereas Gypsy was recently released. The reason they killed her is because Gyspy was a victim of "munchausen by proxy", which is when a caretaker makes the person they are caring for think they have all sorts of fucked medical issues. In this case, Dee Dee told Gypsy she had muscular dystrophy, epilepsy, leukemia, vision issues and a bunch of other stuff. She even put her in a wheel chair and gave her a feeding tube. The entire story is wild. On one hand it's tragic, and on the other it's a miracle because against all odds Gyspy ended up surviving. Joey actually honored her a few years back with a shockingly accurate Halloween costume...
