Ewan Mitchell Is The PERFECT Casting For Badass Motherfucker Aemond Targaryen In House Of The Dragon

Spoilers Ahead

Last night I was watching House of the Dragon, when I couldn't get out of my head just how perfect this casting is for Aemond Targaryen. In the previous episode, this motherfucker got half his face sliced, so I was wondering how he'd turn out.

Fast forward 6 years (I think) and this guy seems to be the baddest dude in King's Landing. He's fucking up Ser Criston in training combat, he practically stole a Velaryon dragon and overall just appears to be an incredibly intimidating character.

He almost reminds me of a young Daemon Targaryen and I absolutely love this stare down scene preventing shit from really hitting the fan.

You can just tell that Aemond is going to be some sort of insane warrior throughout the show. Now, we don't know if he's going to kill Rhaenrya, her bastard children or somehow forgive his Targaryen blood and fight for the crown. Aemond is going to wreak havoc. Plain and simple. There's nothing doubt about it.

But will he turn good or not give a fuck and do as he pleases? As they say, "When a Targaryen is born, the Gods flip a coin. One side greatness, the other madness."

On a separate but kinda related note, I found it very interesting how Viserys sacrificed his wife's life in order for the chance at a male heir, while Daemon elected not to try the C-section on Laena Velaryon. If you knew about both characters, you'd expect those decisions to be completely flipped. Just saying…

Coming into HOTD, I was really skeptical. I didn't know how Dragons would be able to live up to Thrones. Yet here I am, after every episode being hyped for the next one.

Now I'm not someone that reads into Reddit leaks or anything like that. That shit ruins the show and experience. I've read the first three books and am currently making my way through the 4th. So I'm just a big nerd that loves Game of Thrones lore.

Let's keep the Thrones talk going, watch the latest episode of Game of Stools!
