March Madness: The System

Alright guys, if you don’t remember my Billy Budget Betting Parlays, they ended the regular season up $100. 

I have now applied that system to March Madness and as you can see there is "retirement and never work ever again" money on the line. 

3 million smackeroos and just only a couple upsets needed.

Couldn't even place this 100 million dollar parlay, it was too risky, could take the whole company down. 

You see this guy! This is the sweet spot 100k parlay that is not "quit your job" money, but it is "buy a house" money. 

Now this parlay is just to make sure that if all those other parlays don’t hit we got a little something. 

Yeah this is absolutely not going to work. It was easy to apply a bunch of hedges to seven NFL games and try to hit huge parlays while mitigating losses. March Madness has 9 Quintillion possible results and there is absolutely 0 way to ensure you win. 

So the basis of what I did was bet 20 bucks on the top 32 teams and bet $5 ML on all the bottom 32 teams in the first round. That means that every time one of the futures go down in the first round the $ML covers a good chunk of the lost money. I couldn't even calculate the exact scenarios for the system to break positive but I am pretty sure it involves a +20000. I changed up a couple of the numbers up that you can see in this spreadsheet. Originally I was just going to do this with $1 and $5 bets but PFT and Big Cat got involved and bankrolled me $2k, so now this is going to look a lot worse than messing around with beer money.

Here's the spreadsheet. I am not going to explain how to use it because most of you will then realize how ridiculous it is but it basically allocates the bets on the underdogs and favorites for the ML for Underdogs, and Futures bets on the favorites. Only 1k of the 2k has been bet, the other 1k is insurance so that I can at least say I did not lose all of the money. But it will allow for some hedging updates in future rounds which might salvage the situation. 

This is going to be a shit show, what we really need is a +1000 like Texas or USC to win the whole thing. Crazier things have happened. Full send.

I will keep everyone updated on how much money has been won back of the $1k currently on the line.
