The Frank Schwindel Era Has Officially Arrived On The North Side Of Chicago
Swindel to homer & Cubs to win +850 on the Barstool Sportsbook
That man's name is Frank Schwindel. I recently spent some time using his playing time as a primary reason to feel hopelessness. Something about this being a textbook rebuild and to expect 70 wins, etc. Most of it was negative, and while the Cubs could very well be that bad, I'm compelled to issue a full retraction: Frank Schwindel is awesome.
That's probably an exaggeration of his long term value but for right now Franky Barrels is on fire. Since the start of the month he's 17-45 with more than half of those for extra bases giving him a 1.172 August OPS. Small sample size but not small enough for me to ignore. So as tradition we're going to overreact and go all in on Frank Schwindel because we don't really have another choice.
Opposite him is Wade Miley. He sucks against righties for his career although he's been better this season. Yawn. Cinci is a small ballpark and I think Schwindel stays hot. He's homered in 3 of his last 4 and you sense he's really taking advantage of his first taste of regular Big League playing time. We like those kinda guys. So right now we're backing Swindel. Please don't waste you're time trying to talk me out of this action. I like him to home and I like the Cubs to win should he stay this hot.
