3 Quacks For Goldberg: Shaun Weiss Looks Like He's Doing Great Now After Graduating From His Drug Program
TMZ - Shaun Weiss, the goalie in the 'Mighty Ducks' movie, has scored a hat trick -- finishing a court-ordered drug program, getting a criminal case dismissed ... and most importantly, getting his life back on track.
The D.A.'s Office in Yuba County, CA praised Shaun for successfully completing the drug court program. As we've reported, Shaun's struggled with addiction for years ... but he was recently in court -- dressed to the nines in a three-piece suit, mind you -- to proudly receive his certificate from the judge.
As most of you know by now, I've blogged countless Mighty Ducks stories throughout the years. I'd be willing to bet that I'm the internet's #1 contributor of Mighty Ducks stories. Is it overboard at times? For sure not. It's the greatest trilogy in cinema history, and there can never be enough of the Quack Attack.
But there was a time when I was legitimately worried about the blog I'd have to write one day about Shaun Weiss. Things were looking super dark there for a long time, and it just felt like there wasn't much hope on the horizon. Thankfully, however, things are looking up for Goldberg after he graduated from his court drug program, got himself a new set of chiclets, and now has had is criminal case dismissed.

What a comeback story for Shaun Weiss. I mean obviously he's not fully out of the clear yet. He may not ever be fully out of the clear for the rest of his life. But he was going down a dark, dark path and looks like he's been able to hit that U-turn. Which you absolutely love to see.
I'm not sure if throwing him right back into the mix is necessarily the best option here. But you can't say it doesn't work out perfectly that Shaun Weiss has been able to get his life back on track right around the same time that there's a new Mighty Ducks series going on. Maybe a 1-episode cameo in season 2 is just what he needs to keep himself going. Sometimes all you need is a little Gordon Bombay in your life to make all the difference. But if an appearance in Mighty Ducks: Game Changers isn't in the works, this is still a great update on the life of Goldberg. The Goalie.
