Nick Saban Says Alabama QB Bryce Young Has Already Made Almost A MILLION DOLLARS in NIL Deals

Welcome to the world of NIL rights in collegiate athletics. Alabama quarterback Bryce Young — who has attempted a total of 22 passes in his career thus far — has already almost made $1 million, according to Nick Saban.

I'm not surprised numbers like that are being tossed around, but I am surprised players are already accumulating sums of money this large just three weeks since NIL became legal. And while I'm positive much of that money is spread out over months- or years-long contracts, if a guy like Young can make that much this soon, what are the biggest totals we're going to see in collegiate athletics?

What does the bank account of a three-year starting quarterback at Alabama or Clemson look like when he leaves school? $10 million? Trevor Lawrence and Tua Tagovailoa have to be punching air right now.

And then you have athletes like Livvy Dunne and Haley and Hanna Cavinder, who have millions of followers on social media and will be able to earn even more than most football and men's basketball players. I don't even have a guess as to what they'll be able to get.

But good for Young. He hasn't even started a game yet at Bama and it sounds like he'll be a millionaire in short order. If it was even possible, it looks like recruiting to Alabama just got a little bit easier.
