The Ending of This KBO Game Is Chaos Like You've Never Seen Before

Remember the two weeks when we all picked a KBO team and watched that at 1:30 in the morning? I still think about what the NC Dinos are up to sometimes.

But even though we've all thankfully moved back to Major League Baseball, the KBO is still thriving and giving up comical finishes to baseball games. And this one between the SSG Landers and the LG Twins definitely does not disappoint.

So with the bases loaded and one out in a tie game in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Landers hit a one-hopper to third. The third baseman steps on the bag, so the runner on second is out from the start — that comes into play later. Then the runner on third gets into a rundown, but eventually gets back to third base safely, where his teammate who is already out and should be going off the field is waiting for him. That's when all hell breaks loose.

The play could have ended right there with two outs and runners on second and third, but the catcher starts chasing the guy who's already out back towards second. And then the runner who is still in play waltzes home to score the winning run with seemingly not a care in the world from the Twins. Even once the catcher sees him running home, he throws the ball back to third base like the runner is going to turn back around for some reason. This is the definition of beautiful chaos.

It's always fun to see crazy plays like this, but this was also a nice throwback to the days when we were all clamoring for literally anybody anywhere on Earth throwing some sort of ball. It's important to remember where we were just a year ago to truly appreciate where we've gotten back to now.

But the LG Twins certainly need to work on their rundown defense.
