The NBA Is Collabing With Fortnite For The First Time In One Of Fortnite's Biggest Sports Partnerships

Fortnite just announced their biggest sports partnership yet and it's come right in time for the NBA Playoffs.

Debuting on May 21, 2021 at 8pm EST, players can suit up and rep any of the league's 30 teams. The "In The Paint" Set includes 31 uniforms, including all 30 NBA teams.

As referenced above, Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young will have their own Locker Bundles available for purchase in the store.

Previously, we've seen Fortnite team up with the NFL to have players support their favorite players and teams.

Aside from skins, Fortnite is also hosting the NBA Team Battles which is a five-day in game competition featuring all 30 NBA teams. This event will kick off starting May 19, and run through May 23. Anyone from the millions of players who sign into Fortnite each day can support their favorite team in the competition to help crown a winning team inside the game.

Will this lead to more professional athlete partnerships? We'll see.
