UPDATE: Bill Gates Just Hired An Army Of Attorneys To Lead His $130 BILLION Divorce Because He And Melinda Never Got A Prenup

Source - Bill Gates has hired the legal firm started by Warren Buffett’s right-hand man to help lead his $130 billion divorce from wife Melinda.

Munger, Tolles & Olson is listed as one of three firms representing the Microsoft co-founder after Gates’ wife of 27 years filed for divorce on Monday, according to documents shared by TMZ.

The law firm was founded in 1962 by Charles Munger, who has long been indispensable to Buffett after meeting him in 1959.

Munger — now 97 and worth $2.2 billion, according to Forbes — is not listed as one of the lawyers in the case.

However, he is known to have a close working relationship with Gates, who until last year had been on the board of Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett’s investment company, of which Munger is vice chairman.

Three law firms and counting for Bill. Three. I expect that number to double in coming weeks. You have to figure every lawyer in the firm is going to be dedicated to representing him too. Why? Because twenty-seven years of marriage, $130 BILLION, and no prenup will be the biggest divorce in the history of the world. Also Melinda was the one who filed so I'm sure that will come into play.

Here's what we know so far...

Melinda Gates was the one to file for divorce from Bill Gates — and the billionaire philanthropist couple apparently did not have a prenuptial agreement, court documents reveal.

Melinda, 56, wrote that the marriage was “irretrievably broken” when providing a reason for the divorce, according to the filing, obtained by TMZ.

The document, filed Monday in King County Superior Court in Seattle, Wash., notes that the pair has a “separation agreement,” but not a prenup. A separation agreement is usually signed at the end of a marriage and lays out the terms of the split.

That contract wasn’t included in the divorce filing, but will apparently dictate how the couple will divide up their assets.

The Gates fortune is estimated at well over $100 billion, so it’s perhaps not surprising that Melinda is not requesting spousal support, according to the filing.

They also have three kids together not that it matters. When you're as rich as the Gates' nothing matters. Not even divorce. What are they going to do, argue over who gets the last billion? I wish they would for the sake of the blog, but they won't. At this point it's just a formality. They're going to figure out who does what within the company and move on. That said, I would love to see them start dating other people. How great would that be? They get divorced and the next time you see them they've both got some hot young pieces of ass hanging off their arms? Bill dates a smokeshow of the day and Melinda picks up a personal trainer. It won't happen but a girl can dream. Oh well. They had a good run. I'll keep you all updated on this story if anything big happens but chances are the next time we hear about it will be the settlement. Take it away, Bill…
