Dave Gettleman Trades Down AGAIN And Still Picks Maybe The Best Pass Rusher In The Draft In Azeez Ojulari

Don't let Davey Night Trader get hot! Dave Gettleman fucked around and got himself addicted to trading back in the draft at the ripe age of 70 by getting another 2022 pick while still filling a need with an athletic superfreak.

Apparently the Giants were looking at Azeez at pick 11 but still got him at 50 along with Kadarius Toney and a gaggle of picks. I'm not a big college football guy or numbers guy, but this feels like a good guy to get in the middle of the 2nd round.

Whether or not you believe in PFF numbers, I think we can all agree that Azeez Ojulari, Lorenzo Carter, and Oshane Ximines all have elite pass rushing names. If at least one of them can perform as well as their names sound, Patrick Graham's defense can get really scary really quick.

A big reason Azeez slipped a bit was a knee issue he had back in high school. How's it feeling now?

Not sure about you guys but that's good enough for me, especially since he never missed a game at Georgia and a guy with one knee would be better at getting to the QB then some of the guys the guys were throwing out there last season.

Not only do the Giants have a new, young, talented EDGE to help their pass rush that desperately needed it but Andrew Thomas now has a good buddy on the team, which can't be a bad thing for his morale and performance.

Dave Gettleman is truly out here playing 6th dimensional chess by building for the present and future while helping the offense and the defense at the same time. Gettleman is doing so good that #GiantsTwitter is actually happy, which would make it lowkey hilarious if this draft ended up as an abject disaster.

But we are pumping in nothing but positive vibes all weekend so let's finish things off with another Baldy's Breakdown waxing poetic about a Giants pick.
