In March of 2020 we were preparing for our busiest season of the year. Proms typically start in late March, so we were searching for new part-time hires, getting our ducks in a row, and stocking up on new inventory for the ever-changing fashion industry. At the same time, we were booking wedding appointments left and right because spring is our busiest time for weddings. Early March rolled around and we were shocked. We rely heavily on the business we bring in during the spring. The shut down happened, and we have not been open since, except for by appointment only. We are waiting on the wedding venues to open back up because without them, we are unfortunately at a stand still. Weddings simply aren't happening without them. People have turned to intimate ceremonies and backyard parties, which leaves us scared and concerned. The 2021 junior proms are not being scheduled, and the senior proms are undecided at this point. It's a terrifying realization knowing there could be an end to our small family owned business. We have been part of the Delco community since 1984. We are a family owned and operated business that has been serving The Greater Philadelphia Area since 1920. We started in Southwest Philly and have built strong relationships with our community ever since, which is one of the many things that makes us unique. I am 4th generation and my son Dominic will be 5th generation, God willing. Our inventory has taken years to build up, and unlike those big box stores, we can guarantee an exact fit, excellent customer service, and a one-of-a-kind experience. We have been voted the "Best of Delco" 20 years running, which is something we take great pride in because Delco is our family. We care about our community, give back when we can, and always go above and beyond. We need help paying bills, rent, mortgage, utilities, healthcare and payroll.
