Fella With Goldenhar Syndrome Is Missing An Ear But Still Can Van-Gogh Off On The Guitar

I fuckin love this. This dude got a touch of life’s sour grapes when he was born but has flipped life on its head, tossed it into a stadium style chair, and played it a guitar solo the likes of which have never been seen. Personally, I’ve never heard of GolderHar before.

According to some medical Wikipedia pages, Goldenhar syndrome is a craniofacial syndrome, which means that it causes certain abnormalities in the formation of the face and head. It is considered a rare disease and a congenital one, meaning it’s present at birth. Goldenhar is present in just 1 out of every 3,500 to 25,000 babies at birth.

In people with Goldenhar syndrome, abnormalities appear mostly in the areas of the ears, eyes, and spine. This condition can also affect the structure of the face, and some internal organs.

Our friend Pete has Goldenhar syndrome and he approaches it with a touch of humor.

I love seeing videos like these. It gives us a tiny glimpse into people’s lives. Sometimes I’m sure life if a little bit more difficult when you’re dealing with medical conditions. I’m sure sometimes you feel as though you wanna get outta town and be alone with your own thoughts. Method of travel outta town? A train. Not just any ole train. Need a crazy train. Pete can oblige.

I don’t really have anything else to say about Pete. This dude just rips and has a fantastic time while doing it. Love it.
