Keyontae Johnson, Who Was In A Medically-Induced Coma After Collapsing On The Court, Is Thankfully Now Breathing On His Own And Even FaceTimed The Team

Hell yeah, this is the good news we wanted to see today. Keyontae Johnson, the preseason SEC Player of the Year, collapsed on the court less than 5 minutes into the game on Saturday. It was a terrifying moment. Nobody had any idea what was going on, the Florida players decided to keep playing the game and there were no real updated on Saturday besides he was going to a hospital. Yesterday it was announced that he was placed in a medically-induced coma

You hear that and it's absolutely terrifying. That's the only way to describe it. This is a guy who is in the prime of his athletic career and is damn good, now in a medically-induced coma. Luckily we got the update from his parents today that he is breathing on his own, talking and even FaceTimed the Florida team. I can't imagine being one of his teammates on that call. Just the sense of relief, this is a friend and brother to these guys.

This is one of those blogs where there's not much to say besides you keep hoping for good news. This is a positive step it seems. Get well soon, Keyontae.
