In An All-Time Power Move, Rick Pitino Played The 'Jaws' Theme Song As He Walked Into Iona's Practice To Let The Team Know He Was Arriving

Goddamnit I can't get enough of Rick Pitino. This is an all-time power move. You're a top-5 coach ever in the sport. You've won titles at Kentucky and allegedly at Louisville (hey, the NCAA says what the NCAA says). What do you do? You show your mid-major team who the boss is by playing this

I need to know what the players thought the moment they saw this. I'd 100% be the asshole laughing as Pitino and his slick backed hair came through the double doors. How do you not laugh at that? There's a good chance the entire team doesn't even know the Jaws theme song. They just hear some weird music, maybe thinking Baby Shark is about to be played. This movie came out in 1975! Most of these kids were born in the 2000s.

I need Iona to run with this now. You don't have Rothstein tweet this out without running with it. Before games, specifically when Rick is introduced as the head coach this better be on the loudspeakers. Just make it your thing now. That's free marketing 101. I don't really know how licensing works, but just steal it and wait to get a lawsuit. It works, trust me.

I'm so happy Rick is back in college hoops man. I've said it before, but the dude is a content machine.
