Scream 5 Is Coming. And Neve Campbell Is Back
People - Scream fans will once again get to see Neve Campbell embody Sydney Prescott in the upcoming Scream 5, the actress confirmed on Instagram. Alongside a short video of the iconic masked killer, Campbell announced her return to the franchise in the reboot set to start filming later this fall.
"Hello again, Sidney… #ImBack," Campbell, 46, wrote next to the video, which also features a potential release date for the film — January 14, 2022.
Campbell will be joined by fellow original stars David Arquette and Courteney Cox, who confirmed they'd be returning this past summer.
In her announcement, Cox shared an image of the movie series' iconic villain's black-and-white mask with the message written in red script: "I can't wait to see this face again."
The movie is set to be directed by Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett (Ready or Not), two fans of the franchise who plan on honoring creator Craven's work in the first four movies. Craven, a giant in the horror world who also directed Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and The Last House on the Left (1972), died at 76 in 2015.

A major guilty pleasure of mine is horror movies. Not the kind that keep you up for nights straight contemplating demonic possession like the two Conjuring movies. But the semi cheesy stuff. Like Scream 1-4.
Wes Craven (RIP) was the master of slasher films. And he knew what put asses in the seats. His movies, especially the Scream franchise were always stocked with plenty of eye candy.
You're talking Sarah Michelle Gellar, Courtney Cox, Jenny McCarthy, Heather Graham, Emma Roberts, Lucy Hale, Willa Fitzgerald, Hayden Panettiere, Kristen Bell, Alison Brie, and Bella Thorne.

And who can forget the crown jewel, and star of the series, Sidney Prescott, Neve Campbell.
The epitome of hot 90s girl. No plastic. Light makeup. Girl next door, take home to mom, wanna toss in a potato sack look that was in before all the lip injections and fake asses took over.
