Not Enough People Are Praising Notre Dame For Saving College Football

This story is out there, but I don't think it is getting NEARLY enough play nationally. All these fucking hive-minded conference affiliated teams went down the like dominos a couple weeks ago. The BigTen made their move, the Pac-12 followed. It sounds like those two conferences expected the rest of the power-5 NCAA schools to follow them into the darkness. Then, like one flickering candle in the Grotto at night, Notre Dame showed the rest of college football the light, saved the season, saved Fall, and saved America. Notre Dame risked their brand, their reputation, and 125 years of being the gold standard for college football and made moves to make college football possible. An incredibly brave move by a school with independent thinkers.

Yet...this story isn't trending. "Notre Dame" isn't all over twitter the way it should be. Hell, what really should be trending nationally is "Thank You ND" and "I owe my entire life to you, Notre Dame". None of that is out there. Big Tennessee wrote about this story yesterday and said "maybe we should thank Notre Dame?". Buddy...all of East Tennessee would collapse if the Vols didn't play. They'd be left with nothing but a burned down Dolly Parton theme park. So yeah, I think you should emphatically thank Notre Dame.

I know people hate Notre Dame. I get it. Nobody wants to admit that Notre Dame did something great. Par for the course. Even when Notre Dame goes undefeated, an army of morons led by Desmond Howard will say that Michigan deserves to be in over Notre Dame even though Notre Dame beat Michigan in the regular season. That is fine. It's time to rise above that. Without Notre Dame saving football you wouldn't even have a chance to hate Notre Dame.

So here is what I am going to do. I am going to allow any and all of your to apologize/thank Notre Dame. I am in direct contact with the University through two avenues. One...Large. He is a busy guy though. You send your thanks to me, I will filter them, and pass them along to Large. The other is the Alumni Association Of Aurora Illinois. I bought tickets to a game against Wake Forest through them like 4 or 5 years ago and no matter how many times I have tried to unsubscribe from their email list it won't take. I will gather up your email apologies and send them directly to the good people of Aurora who love Notre Dame.

uNDefeated blog will be posted September 10th, the year of our Lord Two-Thousand Twenty. Here's a little taste to get you hyped before ND become the first independent school ever to win a conference championship
