Nova Claims A One Seed While Temple Gets Absolutely Shafted By The Committee

The Cats have rightfully claimed a one seed in this years tournament after rolling through the Big East tournament. 6 man like Lou Will Josh Hart dominated the weekend in New York winning Big East tournament MVP, the first time ever a bench player has won that award. The man rightfully deserved it. Every time he came in the game the Cats reached another level as a team and extended the lead. Hats off.
Somebody on the CBS panel claimed that they thought Virginia deserved a one seed over Villanova and I think that’s bull. Villanova has DOMINATED the Big East over the past month and have been blowing out tournament teams by 20 points night in and night out. They beat 8 seed St John’s by 40 for christ sake. They absolutely deserve this one seed. As far as the bracket goes, I think Nova will walk into the Sweet 16 pretty easily. LSU is a decent team and NC State has some solid wins but also sleep walks through a lot of games and don’t really run anything on offense. With the stifling defense that Nova has played all year, I’m predicting a blow out in round two. As far as the sweet 16 and the Elite 8 go, Northern Iowa is a really good team and Louisville is really dangerous because of their athleticism and Big Shot Ability of Terry Rozier.
The bottom half of the bracket consists of Virginia, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Georgia. All really really quality teams. It’s a toss up down there and whoever comes out can beat this Nova team. In the end this Nova team is different from the others. They are so well rounded inside and out and on both sides of the ball. I really think this team can make a run. Hell, I want this team to make a run. My high school teammate is on the team, I’ve known and played against Arch since 8th grade and have seen Ochefu grow and develop as a basketball player over the past years. It’s a like-able bunch of guys and it is hard not to root for them. This city needs some positive sports vibes and I think we all use something else to think about other than Chip Kelly’s next move. V for Villanova!
Okay and finally, how the FUCK did the committee leave Temple off the bracket? I don’t understand it at all. Temple is 11-3 since January 22 and beat Kansas in non-conference play by 20 who got a 2 seed. I really don’t think Kansas deserves a 2 seed they have 8 fucking losses. The American conference gave Fran Dunphy coach of the year so the conference respected Temple, how the hell did the committee not? I just have no idea and I’m pretty pissed they didn’t make it in. Don’t get me started on UCLA. the lost to Kentucky by FIFTY and have 13 losses in the Pac-12. I can’t even.
