Question of the Day – How Many Years Would You Trade Off Your Life To Be Big Man On Campus For 4 Years?
So this question came up last night on the Rundown with Jared Lorenzen. Now keep in mind the Hefty Lefty was the man for my era. Like he wasn’t just a big deal at Kentucky he was a big deal in America. Every Saturday he was a main story on Gameday. Every campus he went to lit up for him. He was a phenomenon. It was interviews like these that made him a legend in his own time. He was fat, fast, athletic and did I mention fat? And he owned it.
Check out these questions in a real interview from 2002 at Kentucky
3. I’ve heard people use a few different nicknames to describe you — J. Lo, the Hefty Lefty, the Blond Bomber. Do you have a favorite?
I love J. Lo. I really do. It’s awesome. I mean look at Jennifer Lopez, anytime you can be associated with her, that can’t be a bad thing. The Hefty Lefty, yeah that’s one I’ve had forever. I did see a new one on the Internet one time that I like. It was Mobile, Agile, Hostile and Hungry. I think that’s my second favorite to J. Lo.
4. If you could challenge every college quarterback in the country to any kind of contest, what would it be?
Any contest? Against every quarterback in the country? That’s easy, I could out-eat them. It sounds bad, but I could. Give me pizza, hamburgers, chicken, anything. That might come across wrong, but look at me. I’m a big guy.
First of all “Mobile, Agile, Hostile and Hungry.” Is maybe the best phrase I’ve ever heard to describe anybody in anything. Anyway let’s fast forward to yesterday. Now he’s 33 and is a salesman in Kentucky. I’m sure his life is still awesome, but I just started wondering what it’s like to peak in college? No fault of his own really, but he lived like an absolute king for 4 years. He was the man at Kentucky. I’m talking he could point at any girl and he could get her. Our boy Matt Walsh had the same deal when he played hoop at Florida. I can’t even imagine going to a huge school and running it like that. Granted I was gross and not internet famous in college so I had to fight and claw for every inch I got and that was with ugly chicks.. So my question for the Stoolies is how many years would you trade off your life to be that guy. You’re still you but you just are just the famous QB or hoop player who the entire country knows and a legend on campus. I think I’d gladly die at age 40? Basically trade 40 years or so. Sure I’d be on death’s doorstep right now, but I think it would be worth it.
Vote 1 for 10 years and 10 for 100 years.
