Here's A Cool Video Of Justin Thomas Yelling, "KOBE!" During A Practice Round At The 2018 Players Championship

Yesterday was DREADFUL. Just a bad, no good, terrible day after the news broke that Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and 7 others had died in a tragic helicopter crash just outside Los Angeles. A surreal day to say the least, one of the more surreal days of my 30 years on earth for sure. Even today it doesn’t feel like a real thing that actually happened in real life. At no point did any of us picture a world where Kobe Bryant just wouldn’t be around anymore. 41 years old with DECADES left to live and it’s just over in an instant. So strange.

Anyway. That video of Justin Thomas is yet another reminder just how ingrained Kobe Bryant was in the sports world and pop culture in general. People yelling, “KOBE!” before throwing something in the garbage (or in this case, Justin Thomas trying to hit a golf ball between one million trees at THE PLAYERS) was something everyone did. Unfortunate that now every time somebody yells, “KOBE!” now it’ll remind them of the events of yesterday.
