The Heisman Winner Tells All: Joe Burrow's Night Out in New Orleans After Winning the National Championship

We are now more than 24 hours removed from LSU’s National Championship victory. However, we are far from done with the Coach O, Joe Burrow, and LSU PMT-related content. Just mere hours after hoisting the CFB Playoff Trophy, the Tigers’ Head Coach and QB1 hopped on the mics with Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter to discuss this historical occasion. And as Joe Burrow discusses with the then-drunk/hungover podcast hosts, he celebrated the win in style:

Mr. Commenter: Walk me through what happened last night after the game was over, and then you have to do interviews and shit, what has your last 12 hours been like?

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: Well, first of all, there’s been about 45 minutes of sleep. We got in at like 7:30 last night. I don’t know where we went, don’t ask me where we went.

Mr. Cat: You went out to bars?

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: We went somewhere.

Mr. Cat: Did you not just get mobbed?

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: I don’t know, to be honest.

Mr. Commenter: Did you have a police escort into a bar?

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: I think we had a little section, but we went out with all the former players, so that was a lot of fun.

Mr. Cat: Did Odell give you money?

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: Umm… yeah. I’m not a student-athlete anymore, so I can say yeah.

Mr. Cat: Yeah, that’s sick. He was just handing out cash? I was just thinking it would have been awesome if Odell just started printing fake money as just a flex.

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: With like his face on it?

Mr. Cat: Yeah, like you try to pay for a drink and… this is Monopoly money. That’s sick that he was just handing out cash. How much cash did he bring?

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: I don’t know.

Mr. Commenter: So, you guys just had your private section in the bars last night, I’m assuming. You weren’t just out walking down Bourbon Street.

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: No, we weren’t just in the mosh pit.

Mr. Cat: Alright, so you barely slept. I don’t sleep. There’s no reason to sleep. So, you’re going back to Baton Rouge tonight, that’ll be fun.

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: You know, they said we have a parade this weekend, so I might have to save up so I can Gronk that parade.

Mr. Cat: Oh, yes. It’s nice because I feel like college championships, they don’t get to booze because there’s so many people…

Heisman Winner and National Champion Joe Burrow: But I’m already graduated, I’m 23 years old, so I can do whatever the hell I want. 

P.S.: It really is crazy to see how far this podcast has come when it comes to securing guests. It’s the morning after the National Championship, and a bunch of outlets would love to get a word in with Joe Burrow and Coach O. But where do the winning coach and winning QB go first? To hang out in a New Orleans hotel lobby with a half-drunk/hungover Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter. Unbelievable. Some would say, very cool.
