Today On Spirit Airlines: Some Dude Casually Started Smoking A Cigarette On A Flight Before A Passenger Put On An Absolute Textbook Display Of Snitching

What a fucking move! I feel like smoking on flights has been illegal for as long as I have been alive with those little No Smoking lights being the only part of the plane that are always on from the time the plane leaves the assembly line to the time it is broken down for parts.

So this passenger nonchalantly pulling out a bogey and lighting it would be extreme if not for 2 factors:

1. This guy appearing to be someone that has clearly smoked in places where smoking is “illegal” or at the very least “frowned upon”. I’m talking funeral homes, gas stations, hospitals. You name it. If he feels a need to satisfy his nic fix, he’s scratching that itch no matter what. Even if he’s 30,000 feet in the air riding in a closed tin can with 100+ other people. The way he puts his lighter on the seat next to him before taking a hit of smoke before drifting off tells me so.

2. This being a Spirit Airlines flight, which means anything is pretty much legal in the passengers eyes. If you are a budget airline, you get budget customers. Don’t believe me? Just search Spirit Airlines in the handy Search at the top of this blog and see the stories/pictures/videos we have gotten out of that company. If this dude had tied off and shot up, I wouldn’t have batted an eyelash because riding on a Spirit flight is like sailing in international waters. Anything goes.

But the true star of this video outside of Mr. DGAF is the snitch. His expressions as he realizes that someone is smoking a butt on the plane are absolutely perfect.

I’d feel bad for our guy losing a perfectly good cigarette due to a snitch and a law that has been around for decades. But based on his reaction to the flight attendant (who has probably dealt with shit much worse than this a million times since he is a Spirit employee) was perfect. He acted like he didn’t realize smoking has been illegal on planes forever and likely lit up either the moment the plane landed or even right after the flight attendant went back to his seat. So keep being you Spirit because videos like this are what make the internet great.
