Auburn's Bryce Brown Walks To The Locker Room Telling Everyone 'NCAA Needs Some New Refs'

Now, I get this. I really do. Bryce Brown is pissed off and rightfully so. The refs missed a double dribble. They called the correct foul though when it came to Kyle Guy. I don’t even disagree that the NCAA needs new refs because quite frankly these officials call way too many games as is which leads to suspect officiating.

I also appreciate him basically saying fuck it and not caring who hears him. I fully expect him to tweet this at some point too. He’s just ready to scream about some refs and that’s something I can always get behind.

Kmarko just summed up his thoughts on the foul call situation here. I highly suggest reading it.

He’s correct. There’s a clear double dribble that was missed.

That’s where the anger should be for Auburn fans. Not on the foul call. But, here’s the other thing. I know we haven’t talked about it yet. Auburn bailed Virginia out. Right here on this play. Auburn gave a foul because they had a foul to give. There was only roughly 2 seconds left. Guy would have been forced into a heave essentially on a broken play. Instead Virginia got to run a set play out of a timeout which led to the foul. It also led to Kyle Guy almost just making the three. I don’t disagree with the premise of why you give a foul here. But, it just led to the craziness.

Just keep NCAA refs away from Bryce Brown until there’s some new goddamn ones.
