360-Degree Footage Of A Surfer Wiping Out In A Barrel Is Exactly What Technology Was Invented For

Robbie Crawford Arts – Not sure about you guys but I personally feel this is one of the most incredible perspectives of a wipeout ever captured … thanks in part to Mikala Jones being an absolute monster in the barrel as well as the #GoProFusion capturing things in ways impossible with other cameras!!! The camera actually flew out of Mikalas hand but because it captures everything I was able to control composition in post using the reframe plugin … it’s just phenomenal technology … oh yeah … stoked Mikala had the camera attached to a string on his trunks.

I feel like every single day there’s a new nerd out there who is directly contributing to the downfall of humankind by inventing some ridiculous new robot that is going to take over the world some day. Even the most innocent of technological advances these days are eventually going to lead to our extinction. Like imagine if cell phones just stop working one day. Would you have any idea how to survive? Would you even have any idea how to get in contact with people? The hell are you supposed to do once cell phones get shut down? You just gonna send a carrier pigeon over to your buddy’s house to make some plans? Get real.

All I’m saying is that living in a world with all of these technological advances is convenient, no doubt, but a little scary when you think that we’re maybe less than 50 years away from having free willed robots living among us.

Conspiracy shit aside, this video right here is one of the very few moments which is able to both highlight how sick it is to live in a world with all of this technology, but not scare the shit out of you that we’re all going to be taken over by the robots one day. Just look at this shit. It’s beautiful.

Absolutely insane that we’re living in a time right now where this is possible. How do cameras even work? I think about that a lot. I understand it has something to do with capturing light. But who the hell thought to do that? Who was smart enough to figure out how to take everything that you are seeing right now with your eyes and they’re able to capture that with some little device. And not only are they capturing what you’re seeing with your eyes, but now you can get a full 360-degree display of what’s going on. I don’t know. It blows my damn mind.

Either way. Shoutout to whoever came up with that technology because know we all know what it looks like to get so pitted.
