Ilya Kovalchuk Puts New Jersey Mansion On The Market For $17.9 MILLION
Ilya Kovalchuk is the definition of a baller. Guy has so much money he doesn’t even know what to do with it at this point and he is about to get even richer. Kovalchuk has recently put his New Jersey home on the market for a whopping $17.99 million. The house is located in in Alpine, New Jersey and was purchased when Kovy played for the Devils.
Kovalchuk purchased the property in 2010 for only $4.5 mill, so for you math guys out there that’s a casual $13.49 million profit. He obviously had the build the home and shit too, so it’s probably somewhere around a $10 million profit. Like this dude needs any more money.
The pictures of the house posted on the Zillow page are pretty insane.
The house looks unbelievable though. I mean, just the floor plans alone are so much to take in because of all the rooms in the house.
Some of the features include:
-8 bedrooms
-11 baths
-Home theater
-Bar
-Plunge pool
-Massage room
-Exercise room
-Dry sauna
-Wine and tasting room
-Two game rooms
Let’s not forget the NHL basically changed the rules on length of contracts due to Kovalchuk’s 15-year, $100 million contract with the Devils. The contract in which he only played 3 years and then bolted to Russia.
Buddy has seemed to sign big ticket after big ticket in his life. He earned well over $50 million in his NHL career before signing a 3-year, $18.75m contract this summer and he was also the highest paid player during his time in the KHL, earning around $5.5m per year. So this extra 18 or so million will be some nice pocket change for him.
