An Uber Eats Delivery Man Eating French Fries Out Of A Customer's Bag Before Delivering The Food Is The Most Egregious Crime I Have Ever Seen

(Source)- Video of a Melbourne Uber Eats driver munching on a hot chip has sparked calls for greater food safety practices from the food delivery giant.

Security footage obtained by Triple M’s Hot Breakfast shows the delivery man reaching into a brown paper bag while waiting for a customer to come to the door and collect their order last Monday night. He then withdraws a large, golden French fry from the bag and gobbles it down.

I am going to try to be as rational as possible after seeing that video and say that Uber Eats delivery guy should be thrown in jail immediately and they should throw away the key. Barstool has no shortage of people being wronged when placing an order from a restaurant. Maybe an angry chef spit in someone’s food, maybe a waiter put the name of an unruly customer as “Cockboy” on a receipt, or maybe the manager of the joint just told someone to go fuck themselves. The bottom line is sometimes shit gets heated in the food service industry and tempers boil over.

But nobody and I mean nobody deserves to have a french fry stolen from their bag. If someone picks up food for you on the way home and dips their hand into your fries, that’s fair because there is an unwritten Fry Tax during situations like that. Been that way since Adam and Eve were hitting up Mickey D’s in the Garden of Eden with leaves over the nether regions. Everyone knows that you help yourself to a few fries here and there in exchange for allowing me to be a lazy asshole at home and promised that no burgers, sandwiches, or nuggets will be harmed. You can even say the person getting the food should be allowed to lay claim to any bag fries that spilled out of their container during transit.

However, if you are getting money as well as a tip to deliver my food, you better keep your hands North of The Wall and off of my fried batch of happiness. I don’t care about the “safety” or “cleanliness” issue. I just care about the respect factor. I imagine since this happened in Australia, this malfeasance was settled with a good old fashioned bare knuckles donnybrook, as any matter involving eating someone else’s french fries should, or thrown into a river full of crocs. But the victims that don’t know they had fries stolen from them are the ones I will think about before bed tonight and it makes me tear up just thinking about them.
