Wake Up With Madison Bumgarner Going Yard Off Of Clayton Kershaw
I usually hate when pitchers bat. I get that its old school and all that, but give me David Ortiz killing home runs over some scrub pitcher flails at a pitch. I only like when pitchers go yard. The MadBums, the 1 time Bartolo did it, Scherzer rakes, Micah Owings, Carlos Zombrano, those are the guys I like to see. It’s even more impressive when you homer off of a stud, like Madison Bumgarner did off Clayton Kershaw.
Madbum isn’t the best hitting pitcher we’ve seen, his career average is only .183, but he can mash with the best of them. Bumgarner has 17 career home runs and he’s even won 2 Silver Sluggers in his career. He hit 2 in 2012, 4 in 2014, 5 in 2015, 3 in 2016, and 3 in 2017. Those HR numbers will make Chris Davis blush.
Bumgarner doesn’t even have that bad of a swing either, it’s not Manny Ramirez, but it’s not bad. Nice and smooth with a big leg kick. I do enjoy when pitchers actually make an attempt to look like they’ve swung a bat. MadBum does exactly that.

He knows he killed that ball too, takes a look, puts his head down and then decides to watch it on the trot a little more. Guy is a professional, he’s been there before. Kershaw wasn’t throwing his heat, but a 91-mph pitch from Kershaw isn’t an easy pitch to hit, idc who you are.
Now we just need him to stay off the dirt bikes and stop trying to catch come backers with his bare hands so we can see more dongs like this.
