Official Burner Account Odds: LaVar Ball Spoke These Into Existence

So, I got this e-mail late yesterday from a guy who does PR for a bookmaker. It’s why everything in this world is great. You want to bet on who will be the next NBA star to get busted with a burner account? Well, it’s right here for you.

So let’s get into the odds here. Personally, I don’t agree that Lonzo should be the favorite or be the pick here. This feels more like a LaVar will be the one with a burner to defend Lonzo. If you know Lonzo, you know he’s actually a quiet kid that doesn’t really fit in with the ‘LaVar’ narrative.

When I put this on Twitter, I got a lot of ‘Camelo has to be the answer’ responses. That, I disagree with. A) he’s too old to give a shit about a burner account defending his play. 2. He’s already been on social media this summer, under his own name, defending himself. Remember, he was not thrilled when people were saying Kyle Korver had a better career than Melo.

Other names I’m crossing off right away? Anthony Davis – seems too normal to have one. DeMarcus Cousins – the type of guy who will just flat out tell you to your face what he’s thinking. Giannis – too busy trying to eat every single American food known to man this offseason. We’re going to take out the ‘no player gets caught’ because I’m not sure how long that will last. Does it just go forever?

So who is my pick? Kyrie Irving. He’s got just enough crazy with the flat earth theory and toeing the line in interviews combined with trying to get out from LeBron’s shadow that he’d have a burner to troll LeBron. Who are you picking?
